Reflecton of Final presentaton.

1. In terms of presentation skills (using your voice, body language, visuals etc.), what did you learn through the three presentation projects and lessons in AEP?

using my voice: use emphasis, stretching, pause effectively
body language : never shake my hip
visuals : pay attention to eye contact, make impressive slides

and I have learned preparation is very important.

2. What do you want to continue to improve?

My pronunciation is not good.
I want to practice unfamiliar words before presentation.
And I want to improve my posture during presentation.

3. (Optional) Any other comments or reflections?

I'm very happy to take this class!

The PK Reflections and Self-Analysis

1. Voice
Reflection:

My goal was to speak loud enough, speech rate is not too fast, use pausing and emphasis. Especially, I wanted not to be hasty. My volume was good, easy to catch, I hope audience felt as well. Rate of speech was not bad, but I cut some information because of lack of time, so I wonder if audience understand or not. I did my best to use emphasis, but not pausing. Finally, my pronunciation was awful above all unfamiliar word such as bacteria. I could have practiced such a unfamiliar word before the PK.

Ideas for improvement:

The more rehearsal I did, the better PK I would have of course. And I practice the pronunciation of unfamiliar word before the presentation.

2. Visuals (Images or text on slides, timing etc)
Reflection:

My goal was to organize clearly, 1) Introduction, 2) Background, 3) Controversial point.
1) has 3 pages, 2) has 9 pages, and 3) has 8 pages. I think this organization was fine, but background was a little too much.

Goal:

I can make next time background shorter and more simple, because audience might fell listening background boring.

3. Preparation Process
Reflection:

I can choose my topic early, but I finished my visuals and made rehearsals in the PK's morning.
Once I had finished my visuals earlier, I would have more times to do rehearsals. However, I had confidence in the PK because I could did rehearsal several times.

Goal:

I can improve my presentation to try to finish my presentation early, and I have time to practice and revise my visuals.

5. Any other reflections or goals?

Presentation No.1 Reflections and Self-Analysis

-----------------------------

1. Successfully achieved purpose / main message?

Reflection:
My goal was to 1) to convey the magnificence of Aikido. 2) within 3 minutes. 3) Relax

Ideas for Improvement:
Awful lol. I'm too shamed to see the video.
I should have shown the performance by my body because using the volunteers contains some risk to get trouble. And I should've prepared more, such as making script, rehearsal.

2. Use of voice? (rhythm, emphasis, pausing, variation)
Reflection:
My goal was to speak relax and comfortably.
I spoke slowly. But It seems that I hadn't confidence and was not relax lol.
I sometimes use "Ah".

Ideas for Improvement:
I can prepare, next time, script or vocabulary list not to lose my word.

3. Use of body language? (posture, gestures, eyes, face)
Reflection:
I shook my hip and wasn't relaxed.

Ideas for Improvement:
I can improve my body language by using my hands to emphasize.

4. Use of visuals?
Reflection:
I tried to show performance, but I failed.

Ideas for Improvement:
I need to use myself to avoid failing.

5. Preparation & rehearsal process?
Reflection:
I finished my outline lastProxy-Connection: keep-alive
Cache-Control: max-age=0

lass. But I did not prepare more, neither rehearsal.

Ideas for Improvement:
For the next presentation, I make script or vocabulary list not to lose my words, besides outline.
I believe it makes me more relax.
